Many thanks to VentnrBlog reader, Philip Marsh for sending in this photo he took on Monday morning from Wheelers Bay.
Philip believes that this may be a mirage created by a layer of cooler air over the sea and could be a dock in France.
Apparently something similar has been reported in The Times, but Philip tells us that this is the first time he has seen it.
