Dozens of sea lovers will be taking part in the annual Pier to Pier swimming race today from midday.
The race kicks off from Sandown Pier and sees swimmers partake in the two mile tidal assisted swim to where Shanklin pier once stood.
We’re told the swimmers will be some distance from the shore line and the race is run under British Long Distance Swimming Association (BLDSA) rules.
There’s still time to get yourselves to Sandown to cheer on the swimmers at the start line, or head to Shanklin for the finish.
All the best to the swimmers taking part.
