Calling former All Saints’ pupils.
If you were at the Freshwater school in 1994 you might recognise this blackboard, or some of the names on it.
This fully intact blackboard was recently discovered during the demolition of All Saints School to make way for a new school.
West Wight Heritage Centre posted the image to Facebook, saying,
Now here’s an interesting little story….. whilst touring All Saints School recently, we came across this blackboard in one of the classrooms.
So, why is the date so, out of date?
We learned later that a white board had been placed over the top of it. This had just been removed whilst the workman were stripping furniture and fittings, thus revealing what was behind.
I wonder if anyone remembers that day and that lesson 27 years ago
