The Ventnor Fringe comes to an end today, but not without another fun packed day of events.
Open until 6pm is an exhibition of work by Felicity Clarke and Hazel Connors at Seacliff Studios, Belgrave Road. Having popped along ourselves yesterday to True But Strange to check out the exhibition, we can highly recommend it.
Experience the strange inner workings of the everyday world where inanimate objects seem to take on a life of their own.
Music and Art In The Park
From 10am today, Ventnor park will be transformed into an open air arts fayre with strolling buskers and other entertainment.
Island artist, Tony Trowbridge, is going to be doing more live art as you may have seen at the Rhythm Tree Festival and Isle of Arts.
The bandstand will feature performances from Greg Barnes, Tom Paston-Cooper, Louis Checkley, Tom Caulfield and the amazing Dave Thomas (who we saw last night and were blown away by).
Four theatre performances
There are three chances to see The Lantern Light Theatre’s production of ‘The Forest’. Catch them at 2pm, 5pm and 7pm at The Bijou Theatre (Ventnor Youth Centre).
The East Cowes Dancing Troupe will be performing What A Load Of C**p, a play about bird poo. It takes place at 6pm at St Catherine’s School.
Spectacular finale
The day comes to an end tonight at the marquee on Salisbury Gardens in Dudley Road with Stockport bred drummer, producer and DJ Extraordinare Jon Kennedy.
Signed firstly to Tru Thoughts Recordings and then legendary UK street soul label Grand Central Records and comes strong with huge funk beats, soulful musical constructions and the best bits of hip hop’s golden era translated through his own brain into your ears.
Marquee open from 7pm. Tickets are £6.
