Scene from Belleville Rendevouz

Get into the cycling spirit and book your seat for Ventnor Bicycle Film Festival

Get into the cycling spirit ahead of the Tour of Britain by booking your seats for some fabulous cycling-related films at The Ventnor Bicycle Film Festival.

The festival opens at Ventnor Arts Club on this coming Wednesday (7th September from 7.30pm) with Louis Malle’s 1962 beautifully shot mischievous short film on the Tour de France, Le Tour.

It is followed by the seminal and surreal award-winning Belleville Rendezvous (aka Triplets of Belleville) from 2003, but before that, there’s a specially-recorded zoom interview with writer and director of the film, Sylvain Chomet.

Highly recommended
A real treat for film lovers and cycle fans and having seen Belleville Rendevouz dozens on times on our TV screen, we’re looking forward to seeing it on the cinema screen in the sumptuous surroundings of Ventnor Arts Club.

Tickets are £10 each and can be secured by booking via EventBrite.

Check out the Festival’s listing on Events OnTheWight for details of other films and talks taking place.
