Here at VB, we’re great lovers of traditional skills (you’ve probably seen our coverage of hedgelaying on VB in the past) and we’re even keener on something that’s free to take part in.
News reaches us that a major project to restore parts of Ryde Cemetery will also include free masonry training sessions.
Wight Stonemasonry will be running two workshops, to be held on three separate days in July.
Taking place at the cemetery on West Street in Ryde, the two workshops focus on ‘An Introduction to Monumental Masonry’ and ‘Traditional Masonry and Craft Skills’.
If you want to take part in the restoration project and pick up some news skills at the same time, get in touch with Janis Mundell asap.
