Get ready to vote and make a difference: Isle of Wight Youth Trust event details

On Wednesday 5th June between 3pm and 6pm, the Isle of Wight Youth Trust are holding a combined drop-in session for supporting 16 – 25-year-olds with registering to vote, and looking for new members aged between 11 – 25-year-olds to join the Youth Trust Taskforce.

These sessions will be held at The Youth Hub (next door to the Youth Trust), 114 Pyle Street, Newport, PO30 1XA, as part of #iwill movement Power of Youth Day.

On hand to answer your questions
Lianne Ponferrada, Chairperson for the Isle of Wight Youth Council, along with wellbeing members of staff from the Isle of Wight Youth Trust will be on hand to answer your questions in relation to: How do you register to vote, the benefits of registering to vote and why does young people voting matter.

We can also support in completing the application to register to vote and signpost to options for photo ID that you will need on the day.

New members invited to join the Taskforce
At the same time, Charlotte Andrews, Youth Trust Taskforce chair and Victoria Toogood, the IOW Youth Trust Youth Engagement Officer, are looking for new members to join the Taskforce.

Youth Trust Taskforce is a group of volunteers aged 11–25, representing the voices of young people on the Isle of Wight, dedicated to championing causes that matter to young people including mental health and wellbeing.
