GetSet Solent: New business support programme for Isle of Wight firms with ambitions to grow in 2022

This fully-funded business support programme, for Isle of Wight Small or Medium Enterprises (SMEs), could be just the ticket for those with ambitions to grow their businesses.

As 2022 is well underway, now is the perfect time to look ahead and start planning. Government figures show that a whopping 73 per cent of UK SMEs have aspirations to grow. However, many find that obstacles, such as a lack of profitable customers or arranging finance, are holding them back.

Combat the barriers
With the team from GetSet Solent on hand, if you are one of the ‘ambitious, but stuck’ businesses, they can help you combat those barriers.

Through a range of engaging workshops and 1:1 sessions, you’ll be able to access vital the finance and marketing support to help you grow.

Stratton: A really exciting opportunity
Helen Stratton, Programme Director for GetSet Solent, explains,

“This is a really exciting opportunity for businesses across the Isle of Wight to get funding to develop and improve their offering for the future.

“We know the Isle of Wight and the wider Solent area is full of talented companies and entrepreneurs and we can’t wait to deliver this funding.

“The grant programme is there to help ambitious businesses unlock their growth potential both locally and nationally.”

Since the programme began in 2013, the national Get Set service has supported over 7,000 businesses across the UK that are looking to grow, who collectively turnover £2 billion – helping them raise over £70 million in growth finance, and to create over 3,000 jobs.
