Thanks to Joy for sharing details of this initiative. Ed
The 1,000 plus project aims to give 1,000 people a free opportunity to decorate a 6 inch wooden triangle using a variety or art and craft techniques. When completed, the triangles will make a series of tessellated shapes to form a wonderful collaborative art display.
The project is led by Joy Cleightonhills and volunteers, with the local branch of the charity Headway, who work to improve life after brain injury. The project is also supported by the IW Council Adult Community Learning Service, who have supported volunteers to learn new skills that they can pass on to others.
What we do
The 1,000 plus project seeks to work with different groups of adults, regardless of age, ability or need by offering one to two hour creative workshops that can take place at a location or time of your choice which could be where your group meets or at other venues around the Island.
If you would like 1,000 Plus Project to work with your group, please contact Joy [email protected] with your group’s details and a contact e-mail and telephone number.
