Raffle for Air Ambulance held
This year’s event was hosted by long-time member, Jenny, who welcomed everyone to her colourful and restful garden in Lake, where a lunch was served and enjoyed and where a raffle in aid of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance took place.
A variety of activities
As well as the Summer Garden Party and their regular meetings, where they enjoy talks and demonstrations, recently they have enjoyed a visit to Ryde Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club for a game of Croquet followed by tea, theatre visits and other outings. Plans are underway for archery and axe throwing!
Trips to the mainland are also enjoyed with planned visits to Pax Lodge, London, one of the World Centres belonging to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and a narrow boat adventure on the canals.
