Last week the Earl Mountbatten Hospice launched a new fund-raising initiative.
Friday 9th October will hopefully see the Island turn yellow for the first for Hospice ‘Go Yellow Day’.
The initiative hopes to raise much needed funds and awareness for the Islands only hospice.
The launch event saw Cllr Arthur Taylor and his wife, Graham Elderfield the Hospice CEO, Island MP Andrew Turner, along with Susan Cullen and Graeme Craig from Southern Vectis who are heavily involved in the initiative.
On the day, organisers are hoping that supporters will wear something yellow to raise awareness and perhaps take part in the one of the numerous events dotted around the Island.
If you’re interested in organising a fund-raising event on the day get in touch with the Hospice for a fund-raising pack by calling 528989.
