St Catherine’s, the Ventnor-based charity which supports children and young people with speech, language and communication disabilities, in partnership with Ventnor Rotary is holding its annual Grand Auction and Autumn Picnic on Sunday 3rd October at Cowes Yacht Haven in the presence of the High Sheriff of the Isle of Wight, Peter Kingston DL.
Rachel Thomson, the new Head of Business and Charity at St Catherine’s said, “The donated lots are looking absolutely fabulous – ranging from holidays in Corfu, Florida and France to dinner at the Michelin-starred Hamborough, lunch at Coutts the bank in London, and much else besides – and all of the money raised will be split between St Catherine’s and the Rotarians’ other children’s charities.”
Tickets are £10 each (£100 for a table of 10) The auction viewing opens at 11.30 am; at 12 noon it’s the picnic (bring your own or orderable in advance) accompanied by live music and a cash bar; and the auction proper begins at 1.30 pm. The event will finish mid-afternoon.
