Isle of Wight theatre production company, Original Theatre, are offering OnTheWight readers a special ticket offer to ‘buy one, get one half price’ on their next production at Newport’s Apollo Theatre, ‘And this is my friend, Mr Laurel’ on 5th June.
The production
For one night only, Jeffrey Holland – who played Spike in the legendary comedy series ‘Hi de Hi’ – brings his sell-out one-man play to the Apollo Theatre.
Stan Laurel visits his old pal, Oliver Hardy, and reminisces about their time together. Full of humour and pathos, Jeff’s performance brings all the warmth of Laurel and Hardy to life, including snatches of some of their sketches.
After the interval, Jeff will be back on stage for a question and answer session about his own life and work, promising some fascinating anecdotes about the shows and the people he has worked with.

The special offer applies to a maximum of 25 pairs of tickets so make sure you get in quick.
