For those of us of a certain age, the hype around Hallowe’en is a mystery because we grew up with this time of year being celebrated by Guy Fawkes Night.
Instead of children going door-to-door asking for sweet treats, they got creative and made their renditions of Guy Fawkes, asking ‘penny for the guy’.
“Fantastic effort”
Trevor Blaney from the Pop-up Soup Kitchen has been in touch this week.
He says,
“Fantastic effort made in your town Ventnor by Church St Motorcycles who are raising funds for Pop-Up Soup Kitchen.”
The photo illustrates what he was referring to, as well as this tweet below from Adrian at Church Street Motorcycles.
If you're in #ventnor drop by and give us a penny for our homeless guy – proceeds to @pop_up_soup #Homeless pic.twitter.com/N4s6iXPEYS
