Local young musician, Sally Halsey, is organising a concert to raise funds for her brother’s cycle challenge in aid of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
The concert takes place next Tuesday 29th June at 7pm in Ventnor Baptist Church, Pier Street, Ventnor, and will be preview of pieces to be performed at Longleat House and in Scotland in July.
Sally will perform with her cellist father, James Halsey (the Halsey Duo) and Josh Lynch who is currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music.
The varied programme includes works by Fauré, Rachmaninov, Mendelssohn and Prokofiev. Entry is free and there will be refreshments provided.
The hospice cycle challenge involves a team of sixth form students from Medina High School who are cycling the length of France, 600 miles, in 8 days! For more details or to sponsor them visit the official website
