Thanks to Sherie for news about the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. Ed
A fundraising initiative across five Bonmarche stores situated within the area covered by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance is taking place on 1st December.
The stores in Cosham, Portsmouth, Gosport, Fareham and Isle of Wight are appealing for unwanted gifts or other suitable items so that they can raise funds for the Air Ambulance.
It is hoped that readers will donate gifts to these stores so that each one can hold a Tombola in the store on the 1st of December to turn the unwanted gifts into cash to help support this life saving service.
Fashion show on Island
The Isle of Wight store will also be holding a Fashion Show in the store on the same date at 6.15pm. Tickets will be available from the store at a cost of £3, and are limited.
A wide range of items will be modelled, giving ticket holders the chance to see the range offered in store, and can be purchased at a very generous discount.
John Perry, Chief Executive of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance said ‘I should like to thank the Bonmarche stores for this fun and innovative fundraising idea which I’m sure will prove to be a great evening, and will generate much needed funds to help us keep the Air Ambulance flying and saving lives. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance receives no government of national lottery funding, and relies solely on the generosity of individuals, groups and companies such as Bonmarche, to maintain the service’
Please donate any items directly to the Bonmarche store in Newport before the 1st December, and then come along on this date to help support this very worthwhile cause.
