Hampshire Police Authority takes to the road

Hampshire Police Authority is embarking on a number of roadshows to ensure that local residents are informed, educated and involved in the democratic process ahead of the election to appoint a Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for the Hampshire Policing area, in the PCC elections on 15 November 2012.

The PCC will be responsible for policing and crime, in the Hampshire Policing area, in its totality. This will mean setting the budget for Hampshire Constabulary, appointing the Chief Constable as required, listening to the people of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and setting a Police and Crime Plan based on those conversations.

Meet staff from Police Authority
However, the role is very much about the wider crime landscape as well as policing. It is not yet clear quite what this will mean for the elected PCC but they will be heavily involved in all aspects of policing and crime.

Staff from the Police Authority, the future office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, will be visiting shopping centres across the counties throughout September and early October, to meet and greet members of the public and answer any questions they may have about the transfer to Police and Crime Commissioner.

Instead of just filling the potholes, we’re going to put these covers on so the water just seeps away.

What’s so funny, I only said wages are low & cost are high & your belief in financial liberty doesn’t extend to those who need welfare to survive. If it did, as a chief decision maker for the decade you would have done something about it.
