The 12-month Ventnor Skatepark £50,000 fundraising challenge continues today (Saturday) with the Night of the Longest Skate.
As part of Go Skateboarding Day, organisers of the event Wight Trash, have pulled together a fantastic lineup of entertainment and activities for the next 30 hours/
There’ll be free skateboard coaching all weekend (from midday to today until 6pm Sunday).
Expect to hear DJ sets from the Red Squirrel guys, a Spoken Word set from Bestival Winner King Stammers (2pm).
Live music
Young Ebb will be performing a Ukulele set at 5pm, followed by a jam session from Red Rock (5.30pm)
At 7pm tonight watch out for the StarWars Troop followed by Olli Fry with his guitar greatness at 8pm.
Spafftits will be performing a full set at 9.30pm.
Sunday, Sunday
If you can’t make it down today don’t worry, skating continues throughout the night and Sunday morning music comes from Rebel and the Hearts front man Stu at 11.30am.
You can see NailHouse perform at 1pm on Sunday and street food will be available all weekend from The Ralvins.
