The heavy rains and strong winds affected many parts of the Isle of Wight on Sunday.
The Environment Agency issued flood alert warnings for the entire Eastern Yar valley, as well as Gurnard Luck.
But those weren’t the only areas affected by the rains and high tide. Many Isle of Wight roads suffered with surface water or flooding.
Water feature in Appley
Appley in Ryde was particularly affected, with a new water feature making its way down from the parkland. Many report it as totally waterlogged.
Adrian Moran shared the following video on the Isle of Wight Heritage Group on Facebook.

Nick Gale captured this shot of the water gushing down the steps to the beach.
Surface water on the roads
This video below – shot by Suzie Sumpter – shows the situation in Harding Shute between Ashey and Brading.

Richard Manser from SafeSite IOW took his aerial drone out to Brading to capture the water on the roads and flooding on the fields.
Strong winds
It wasn’t just the rain that caused problems, the strong winds bought some trees down too around the Island.
Carlene Fryer spotted this tree down in East Ashey Lane and warned others via the Emergency & Community Info Group on Facebook.
She later encountered the flooding on Harding Shute too.
