July might seem a long time off, but time flies when you’re having fun so make sure you stick this one in the diary.
The surreal disused basement of an old Wesleyan chapel in the heart of Ryde will play host to an eye opening collection of works from Contemporary Island artists for a week in July.
There’ll be all manner of works, from a projected photoblog and large scale silk screen prints, to dark digital photography and carefully hand crafted paper pieces
Not to mention a secret back room concealing some dark visuals it presents a unique opportunity to see the cutting edge of the Island art scene in one room.
There’ll be a launch party from 2.30pm on 11th July with feelgood funky beat sets from Island DJ’s Arkouda and (MMN) and a host of audio visual treats, plus free cake
Taking part in the exhibition will be Chris Ballingal, Adrienne Wroath, Jo Hummel Newell, Chris Jones, Carole Geldhill and Lisa Traxler.
In association with Ryde Arts Festival 2009.
Location: Basement of The Depozitry, Nelson Street, Ryde
