When Haylands Primary school was inspected by Ofsted in July 2014, the school was rated inadequate.
Ofsted returned to the school last month and parents will be pleased to hear the inspector found improvements.
The latest report states,
“Leaders and managers are taking effective action towards the removal of the serious weaknesses designation.”
Inadequate teaching has been eradicated
Highlights from the report include:
- The headteacher has continued to act with rigour and determination in tackling the areas for improvement
- Governance is becoming increasingly effective.
- Governors visit the school more frequently to gather first-hand evidence of how the school is improving.
- Leaders at all levels are becoming more effective in driving improvements.
- Subject leaders, although new to their roles, are very positive about their additional responsibility
- As a result, inadequate teaching has been eradicated.
