We read with interest today on one of our reader’s blogs that next year is due to be the International Year of Astronomy.
This is great news for the Vectis Astronomical Society who are planning to hold many events over the year to help raise awareness for Astronomy.
You might remember the pavement astronomy that took place in April on Ventnor seafront.
Well, many events similar to this are planned. The VAS are also hoping to team up with other interest groups around the Island and provide talks and general sky watching.
If you run a group and are interested in having astronomy equipment brought to you, get in touch with Brian by adding a comment to his posting.
