If you missed our previous articles about the exciting new youth theatre organisation in Ventnor for youngsters then read on.
Invent Theatre welcomes all young people aged between ten and eighteen and will provide opportunities to develop skills in performance, technical production and arts management.
It is based at Ventnor Middle School, with weekly workshops (held on Sundays), specialising in acting for stage and screen, as well as providing specific programs for those whose interests lie in technical, artistic and management roles.
They are not a stage school and do not teach classes in dance or singing, but aim to help individuals in developing their skills in their chosen field.
The workshops are run by young people who share an ambition to create and achieve, and are enhanced by opportunities to meet professionals and Invent Theatre believe in being as accessible as possible to anyone who wants to become a part of the organisation.
As a result of this belief, they operate a first come, first serve policy to all projects, with a waiting list being used thereafter. There are no entrance auditions and they aim to keep subscription costs as low as possible to give everyone the chance to join us.
There are still places left, so if you’re intereste or you have a child, grandchild or friend who you think might be interested, take a look at their website for more.
