Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers at The Commodore, Ryde

Island Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers gather for exclusive film screening

Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers from across the Island enjoyed a trip to The Commodore Cinema at the weekend to see Disney and Pixar’s latest film, Inside Out 2 at an exclusive screening for Girlguiding members.

Across the UK Girlguiding members visited 99 ODEON cinemas which took part in the mass screening events but on the Island The Commodore, Ryde hosted the event. Arrangements for all the local girls to attend were planned by Guide Leader Helen Sparling.

Stone: A chance to see the wider picture of our organisation
Linda Stone, Girlguiding Isle of Wight Commissioner said,

“I would like to thank the staff at The Commodore, Helen for making the arrangements for everyone to attend and leaders and helpers for giving up their weekend time to enable the Island girls to join in this national Girlguiding activity.

“These larger events allow the girls to discover that there are other members of Girlguidng in other Island towns and to see the wider picture of our organisation.”

Exploring emotions
This sequel to the popular film Inside Out returns to the mind of Riley and her emotions for a remarkable adventure. As Riley turns 13 and ‘headquarters’ is undergoing a sudden reconstruction, her mind makes room for some brand-new emotions.

These exclusive screenings were an opportunity for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers to have a special day out, celebrate friendship and think about just how powerful their minds can be.

New badge
A special “Riley’s remarkable movie screening” badge has also been created for Girlguiding members to mark the event in true Girlguiding style.

Inside Out 2 is the eighth film to be shown at an exclusive Girlguiding screening.
