Around 40 Islanders gathered in St James’s Square this afternoon (Saturday) to call for a General Election.
Speakers told of the many ways they believe the Government over the last 12 years has failed the nation, stating that the situation is now worse than ever.
Amongst others, the Isle of Wight Green Party’s Vix Lowthion and Island Labour’s Richard Quigley both spoke. Also in attendance was Stef Burgess Flux representing the IW LibDems.

Jan Welsh told News OnTheWight,
“We will be continuing to meet on the first Saturday of the month, in St James’s Square at 12 noon, until we get a General Election.
