Anyone concerned by the recent figures released through an Ofsted report that scored the Isle of Wight as having the highest level of bullying amongst school children might be interested to hear that an ‘Isle of Wight Anti-Bullying
Strategy for Children’ is just one of the subjects being discussed at the next Cabinet meeting.
On 20th January the Cabinet will be considering the adoption of a new strategy and reviewing the draft policy document to be presented by Alan Wells.
We haven’t had a chance to read through the documentation in full yet, but consider this a positive step for the Council to make in order to address the problems raised when year 6, 8 and 10 pupils were canvassed last year.
