Isle of Wight musician, Lauran Hibberd, has not only been playing with her band at a number of festivals this year, but is also currently on tour with The Vamps.
Yes, that’s right, travelling up and down the country with the British pop rock band, who have racked up a whopping 218m views on at least one of their videos and tens of millions on others.
Kit stolen, but the show goes on
At the end of last week Lauran and her band were due to support The Vamps at Hammersmith Apollo, but before the gig discovered that their van had been broken into and all their kit stolen.
Literally everything was taken.
However, the show still went on, because after Lauran issued an appeal for help on social media, the band were overwhelmed with offers of kit to use or borrow.
Light at the end of the CCTV tunnel?
The good news for the band is that the theft was recorded on CCTV and several items of their kit is very distinctive. Hopefully they’ll be able to get it all back in due course.
