As part of the first Isle of Wight Biosphere Festival, head to Carisbrooke Priory to view and identify moths caught in a moth trap overnight. No previous knowledge is required.
Moths are more important than many of us realise. They are even more efficient pollinators than bees and are vital food sources for other animals. They can be very beautiful or striking, with a huge variety of colours, patterns and sizes, from the large hawk moths to tiny micromoths.
Come to the beautiful Carisbrooke Priory gardens to see which moths have been collected in their overnight moth trap (which doesn’t harm the moths at all!) and learn more about these incredible animals and how to identify them.
