An Isle of Wight council Cabinet meeting scheduled to take place tonight (Thursday) has been delayed to a future date to be confirmed.
Positive LFT test
The council said the decision had been taken as a precautionary and sensible measure after a member of the Cabinet returned a positive LFT test and to allow time for their recent close contacts to be informed.
John Metcalfe, the council’s chief executive, said,
“This decision has not been taken lightly, but with safety of councillors, staff and the public at the forefront of our minds.”
The meeting will be rescheduled for later in the month.
