Red Funnel has announced the opening of its annual Charity of the Year nominations. Every year one charity close to the hearts of the Island community is chosen to be supported by Red Funnel, as the company’s official Charity of the Year.
Red Funnel is now calling on Isle of Wight charities to apply for the chance to be the operator’s Charity of the Year for 2024, with applications closing on Sunday 22nd October.
Collins: It’s extremely important to us that we support local causes close to the hearts of Islanders
Speaking on the opening of its annual Charity of the Year nominations, Fran Collins, CEO at Red Funnel, said,
“2024 will mark the tenth year we’ve been running our Charity of the Year programme.
“During this time, we have been incredibly lucky to work with some amazing organisations including: UKSA, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary, Mountbatten Isle of Wight Hospice, Isle of Wight Independent Lifeboat, Young Lives vs Cancer and this year’s charity, Aspire.
“Supporting charities which improve quality of life on the Island is something we are deeply committed to, and it’s extremely important to us that we support local causes close to the hearts of Islanders. We look forward to welcoming all this year’s nominations and are excited to see who we’ll be working with in 2024.”
