The Isle of Wight council’s Adult Community Learning team has launched its summer programme for 2025.
This year’s offer includes a wide variety of workshops and courses covering ICT, arts and crafts, and health and wellbeing.
Accessible options for all
Learners can also take advantage of free online short courses, designed to make learning flexible and accessible.

Support with careers and training
Anyone looking to retrain, return to work, or improve their job prospects can book a careers appointment with Claire Rixon, the team’s information, advice and guidance professional.
Claire offers support with CVs, cover letters, and application forms, and helps with issues such as redundancy, education options and career changes. Appointments can be booked by calling (01983) 817280.
Drop-in sessions available
The Learning Centre at Westridge will host drop-in sessions for those needing help with learning and employment. These run from 9.30am to 11.30am on Fridays: 25th April, 9th May, 23rd May, 13th June and 25th July. No booking is required.
For support with using computers or ICT learning, people can drop in between 9.30am and 12.30pm on 2nd May, 16th May, 6th June, 20th June, 4th July and 18th July.
