Island Roads are equipping their road-working staff with body-worn video cameras, apparently to capture those who don't pay attention to Stop/Go signs or who shout at workers.
Most would agree it's unacceptable for someone going about their daily work to be the target of verbal and physical abuse. That's what Island Roads say is the reason they've supplied body-worn CCTV for eight of their operatives controlling traffic flow at road works.
