News just reaches us that legendary punk and surf rock band, The Pixies will be playing the Isle of Wight Festival on Sunday night.
Taking to the stage just before headliner Neil Young closes the festival, The Pixies are sure to have the place totally heaving in their only festival appearance this year.
The Pixies have paid tribute to Neil Young throughout their career, so are likely to be welcomed by their Young fans as well as their own.
With this news some monkeys will go to heaven!
John Giddings, Festival Promoter said “It was hard to think of someone capable of complementing the musical talent of Neil Young but once I had the idea it was blindly obvious and it will surely be a legendary day on the Isle of Wight.”
