After many months of organisation and preparation, the Isle of Wight Film Festival has arrived in Ventnor for a second year.
The Festival kicked off this afternoon, opening with the first screening of Isle of Wight short films entered into the competition.
The next three days will see shorts and feature films from around the world be screened and judged.
Sponsored by OnTheWight
Once again, OnTheWight is sponsoring the Feature Film category of the Festival.
We’re chuffed that author and film reviewer Liam Madden, OnTheWight columnist and film reviewer Jonathan Dodd and founder of Isle of Arts Festival Gilly Jenner have accepted our invitation to sit on the judging panel for the competition.
They’ll be glued to the seven feature films over the next few days and after deliberating which film captured their hearts, will be announcing their favourite at a grand Awards Ceremony on Saturday night.
Don’t miss the features
There is a wide range of films being shown over the next few days. Full details can be found on our listings site, Events OnTheWight.
Tickets are £5 and can be bought from the Ventnor Fringe Box Office or on the door.
Hope to see you at some of them.
