Police have confirmed the 20 year old man, arrested following the murder of Carisbrooke father Jeff Stacey, has been re-bailed.
Just over six weeks ago, Gary Stacey (better known as Jeff) was attacked in Newport in the early hours of Sunday morning and taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious head injuries. Sadly he passed away on Monday 15th February.
Following the attack, a 20 year old man from Newport was arrested and bailed. Police confirm he has this week been re-bailed until 1st June.
Mr Stacey’s inquest has also been opened and adjourned until 6th September.
