Isle of Wight pupil’s success in prestigious OxBright essay competition

Congratulations go to Panashe Chibwana, a Year 13 pupil at Priory School, who was successfully
shortlisted in the OxBright Essay Competition 2023.

Panashe wrote a brilliant essay answering the question, “How can long-term thinking in the field
of Law foster optimism about the future?”

The panel of judges were very impressed with her writing and shortlisted it within a competitive field of over 1,000 entries. Her prize is a free place at an OxBright academic conference.

Lloyd: A very talented pupil
School Principal, David EJJ Lloyd, remarked,

“This is a wonderful achievement and Panashe is a very talented pupil, keen to study law and work in the legal profession.

“I have every confidence she will be a great success.”

Soar: A natural flair for writing
Emma Soar, Vice Principal, said,

“Panashe has a natural flair for writing and I am delighted that she has been able to showcase her skills.”
