APSE HEATH:
Ventnor Road (outside Little Princelett Cottage)Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am on Friday 8 January 2016 until 3.30pm on Tuesday 12 January 2016 for kerbing works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
ARRETON:
A3056 Sandown Road (Merstone Lane to the western boundary of 1 Pyle Cottages) A temporary 30 mph speed restriction will be in operation when required between 6.30pm on Friday 8 January 2016 and 6.30am on Monday 1 February 2016 for safety barrier replacement by Island Roads.
A3056 Blackwater Shute (near access to Wight Building Materials). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until 9pm on the nights of Tuesday 12 January to Thursday 14 January 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
BRADING:
B3330 Carpenters Road (from the entrance to the pond to the entrance to sewage treatment works). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on Monday 18 January 2016 for carriageway coring works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Brading Down Road (from Ashey Road to 725m from Bullys Hill rolling various locations). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on Wednesday 20 January 2016 for carriageway coring works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Lower Road will be closed on two days between 9am and 3.30pm from Monday 11 January until Friday 15 January 2016 between Well Lane and Longwood Lane. The route for diverted traffic will be: Well Lane Upper Road and Lower Road. The road closure is for carriageway repairs approx. 470 metres from Longwood Lane by Island Roads.
BRIGHSTONE:
Main Road will be closed from 7.30am on Tuesday 5 January until 5pm on Friday 15 January 2016 between Upper Lane and Broad Lane. The closure is for drainage works by Island Roads from Broad Lane to a point 50 metres towards Upper Lane. The alternative route for vehicles will be; B3399 Limerstone Road, Walkers Lane, Main Road, Shorwell Shute, Cheverton Shute, Bowcombe Road and Clatterford Road, B3401 High Street (Carisbrooke), Calbourne Road, Sun Hill and Freshwater Road, B3399 Shalcombe Road, Brook Road, Brook Shute, Brighstone Road, Hunny Hill and Main Road.
CARISBROOKE:
High Street (various locations between Clatterford Road and Alvington Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day between Thursday 14 January and Saturday 16 January 2016 for carriageway coring works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
COWES:
Park Road from Victoria Road to Granville Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day as necessary between Wednesday 13 January and Sunday 17 January 2016 for carriageway survey works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Three Gates Road will be closed from 9am on Monday 4 January until 5pm on Tuesday 12 January 2016 between Seaview Road and A3020 Newport Road. The road closure is for the installation of a new water main by Clancy Docwra for Southern Water. The route for diverted traffic will be: Three Gates Road, Place Road, Nodes Road and A3020 Newport Road.
The works form part of a new water main project between Three Gates Road, along Newport Road to the Newport side of Northwood traffic lights.
Newport Road will be closed from approx. 9am on Wednesday 13 January 2016 until 4pm on Thursday 24 March 2016 between Three Gates Road and Nodes Road. The road closure is for the installation of a new 450mm size water main. The route for diverted traffic will be: Three Gates Road, Place Road and Nodes Road. The works form part of a new water main project between Three Gates Road, along Newport Road to the Newport side of Northwood traffic lights. Newport Road will not be closed until works have been completed in Three Gates Road.
Upper Moorgreen Road (from Brooklands to the end of the highway). Priority signing will be in operation from 8am until 4pm on each day as necessary between Monday 11 January and Friday 15 January 2016 for carriageway survey works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
High Street will be closed from 9am on Tuesday 12 January 2016 until 5pm on Thursday 14 January 2016 between Market Hill and Fountain Quay (The entrance to the Red Funnel Terminal). The road closure is for the installation of a new gas connection outside 92. The one way restriction will be temporarily suspended to allow access. The route for diverted traffic will be: High Street, Bath Road, The Parade, Castle Hill, Baring Road, Ward Avenue, Park Road, Terminus Road and High Street.
EAST COWES:
Esplanade will be closed from 2.30pm on Friday 25 April 2014 for the foreseeable future between 375 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road and the end of the highway 860 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road. There is no alternative route for traffic. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road due to a landslip.
GURNARD:
Worsley Road will be closed from 9am on Monday 4 January until 4pm on Sunday 24 January 2016 between Albert Road and Solent View Road. The closure is for the construction of a new manhole and sewer outside number 34 near the junction with Albert Road by Dial a Rod Engineering Services. The alternative route will be: The Avenue, Tilbury Road, Church Road, Lower Church Road, Solent View Road and Worsley Road.
HAVENSTREET:
Littletown Lane will be closed on two days between 9am and 3.30pm from Monday 11 January until Friday 15 January 2016 between Briddlesford Road and a point 660 metres to the north east of Briddlesford Road. The route for diverted traffic will be: Briddlesford Road, Station Road and Littletown Lane. The road closure is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads
LAKE:
Ranalagh Road / Cliff Road / Cliff Path. From 1200hrs on Friday 18 July 2014 for the foreseeable future the following roads / path will be closed to vehicular traffic: Cliff Road / Cliff Path will be closed from point 55 metres to the northwest of the junction with Ranalagh Road to point 185 metres to the south west of the junction with Cliff Gardens (the southern boundary of number 6). Ranalagh Road will also be closed from Cliff Road to a point 10 metres to the west of Cliff Road. During the period of closure there is no alternative route for vehicles. The closure is required due to erosion. Pedestrian access will be maintained as usual.
Whitecross Lane (outside Tudor Lodge). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on Wednesday 13 January and Thursday 14 January 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
NEWCHURCH:
Winford Road (junction with Harbors Lake, outside Aspley House). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation at times from 9am on Thursday 7 January until 4pm on Tuesday 12 January 2016 for cable works by British Telecom. Traffic delays will occur.
NEWPORT:
A3054 Yarmouth Road (100 metres Shalfleet side of Vittlesfield Farm). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation at times from 9am until 4pm on each day between Monday 25 January 2016 and Wednesday 27 January 2016 for cable works British Telecom. Traffic delays will occur.
Albany Road (various locations from near Banner Lane to Whitesmith Road).
Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day between Monday 15 February and Friday 19 January 2016 for carriageway coring works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3020 St Georges Way (outside Newport Football Club). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 12pm (noon) on Wednesday 13 January 2016 for drainage survey works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Cavendish Place (various locations) priority signing will be in operation from 8am until 4pm on each day between Monday 18 January and Friday 22 January 2016 for carriageway investigation works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
NITON:
Kemming Road (outside Netherfield). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am on Monday 11 January 2016 until 4pm on Friday 15 January 2016 for works to a vehicle access by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
NORTHWOOD:
Noke Common (opposite 83). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 4pm on each day between Monday 11 January and Wednesday 13 January 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3020 Newport Road (by junction with Coronation Avenue) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until 9pm on the nights of Tuesday 12 January to Thursday 14 January 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
RYDE:
Great Preston Road (various locations from High Park Road to Nicholson Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 4pm on each day between Monday 25 January and Friday 29 January 2016 for footway surfacing works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Seaview Lane (outside Canoelbra). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am on Wednesday 20 January until approx. 4.30pm on Friday 22 January 2016 for the installation of a new gas service by Southern Gas Networks. Some traffic delays will occur.
Spencer Road (junction with Buckland Gardens). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8.30am on Monday 14 September 2015 until approx. 4.30pm on Friday 29 January 2016 for gas main replacement works by Southern Gas Networks. Some traffic delays will occur.
A3054 Queens Road (outside number 20). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am on Tuesday 12 January until 4pm on Monday 18 January 2016 for the installation of a new gas service by Southern Gas Networks. Traffic delays will occur.
Esplanade (between Appley Rise and Cornwall Street). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 6.30pm until midnight on each day as necessary between Monday 18 January and Friday 22 January 2016 for carriageway survey works by Island Roads.

Stroud Wood Road (outside Fairfield’s Farm) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on Monday 11 January 2016 for the replacement of a telephone pole by British Telecom. Traffic delays will occur.
Appley Lane (from Ryde Inshore Rescue Station to gate by Appley Upper Car Park). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am on Tuesday 2 February until 4pm on Saturday 6 February 2016 for carriageway survey works by Island Roads. Some traffic delays may occur
Castle Street will be closed from 9am on Monday 11 January 2016 until 4pm on Wednesday 13 January 2016 between George Street and Nelson Street. The road closure is for the installation of a new gas service connection outside 33. The one way restriction will be temporarily suspended to allow access. The route for diverted traffic will be: George Street, Melville Street and Nelson Street.
A3055 Brading Road (various locations between Great Preston Road and Tesco’s Roundabout). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day between Thursday 14 January and Saturday 16 January 2016 for carriageway coring works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
SANDOWN:
Albion Road will be closed from approx. 9am on Monday 23 November until 8am on Sunday 14 February 2016 between Albert Road and High Street. The route for diverted traffic will be: Albert Road, Victoria Road and High Street. The one way restriction will be temporarily suspended to allow access to premises. The closure is for utility service installations by LCM Contractors Ltd.
Albert Road / Victoria Road will be closed from 9am until 3.30pm on Wednesday 13 January and Thursday 14 January from Station Avenue to Avenue Road. The one way restriction will be temporarily suspended to allow access. The route for diverted traffic will be: Albert Road, High Street, Pier Street, Battery Slipway, Esplanade and Avenue Slipway. The road closure is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.
Broadway (junction with Beachfield Road, adjacent to The Heights). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on Saturday 9 January 2016 until for carriageway repairs by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
SEAVIEW:
Seagrove Manor Road will be closed on two days between 9am and 3.30pm from Monday 11 January until Friday 15 January 2016 between Old Seaview Lane and the end of the highway to the south and east. There is no alternative route for traffic. Vehicular access to premises and businesses will be maintained as far as possible. The road closure is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads
Old Seaview Lane (junction with Seagrove Manor Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am on Monday 11 January 2016 until 4pm on Friday 15 January 2016 for British Telecom cover works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.

SHANKLIN:
Cliff Path will be closed from 9.30am on Monday 20 January 2014 for the foreseeable future to pedestrians from Skew Bridge Path to Winchester House Car Park.
The closure is required due to erosion/ land movement. During the period of closure the alternative route for pedestrians will be; Skew Bridge Path, A3055 Sandown Road and Winchester House Car Park.
Victoria Avenue will be closed from 9am on Monday 11 January 2016 until 4pm on Monday 18 January 2016 or between Hungerberry Close and the end of the surfaced highway 200 metres to the west. (Note: This is not the main section of Victoria Avenue; it’s the cul-de-sac section off Hungerberry Close). There is no alternative route for traffic .Vehicular access to premises will be restricted when necessary between 9am and 4pm on each day during the closure. The road closure is for sewer repair works by P Fitsimmons Dyno Rod for Southern Water.
A3055 Victoria Avenue (various locations between Cliff Bridge and Highfield Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Thursday 14 January and Friday 5 February 2016 for footway surfacing works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Appley Steps will be closed to pedestrians on two days from 9am until 3.30pm between Monday 11 January and Friday 15 January 2016 from Rylstone Road to the beach. The route for diverted traffic will be: Rylstone Road, Chine Hollow, A3055 High Street, Chine, Avenue, Everton Lane, Public Footpath SS93, Esplanade and the Beach. The footpath closure is for repairs to be undertaken to the steps by Island Roads
ST HELENS:
B3330 Upper Green Road junction with The Diggings will be closed from 9am until approx. 6pm on Wednesday 13 January 2016 2016. The closure is for the replacement of a sewer manhole frame and cover by P Fitsimmons Dyno Rod for Southern Water. The route for diverted traffic will be: Light Traffic (Up to 6ft 6in in width); B3395 Station Road, Latimer Road, Lower Green Road and Upper Green Road. Heavy Traffic: (Over to 6ft 6in in width); B3330 Upper Green Road and Carpenters Road, A305 Beaper Shute, Brading Road, B3330 Appley Road, Calthorpes Road, Pondwell Hill, Nettlestone Hill, Nettlestone Green, Eddington Road and Upper Green Road.
ST LAWRENCE:
A3055 Undercliff Drive will remain closed from St Catherine’s Road to Seven Sisters Road (Western Junction), between Barrington Lodge, near to the western junction with Seven Sisters Road and Mirables which is located about a mile towards Niton. Following significant ground movement in the area in early February 2014, Undercliff Drive has been physically closed between Mirables (in the west) and a point 560 metres to the West of Seven Sisters Road (in the east) for safety reasons. There is now no access for vehicles or pedestrians. A formal road and footpath closure will be in operation for the foreseeable future. Access to businesses and attractions in Undercliff Drive will be maintained. During the period of closure the alternative route for traffic will be;
Pedestrians; A3055 Undercliff Drive, Public Footpath V81, V77, NT28, NT29, NT30 and A3055 Undercliff Drive. Cyclists and Equestrians; A3055 Undercliff Drive, Seven Sisters Road, St Lawrence Shute, Whitwell Road, Ventnor Road, High Street (Whitwell), Kemming Road, Chatfield Road, Rectory Road, High Street (Niton), Institute Hill, Barrack Shute and A3055 Undercliff Drive.
VENTNOR:
Longdown Steps Public Footpath V102 will be closed from 10am on Monday 12 May 2014 for the foreseeable future between South Street and St Catherine’s Street. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons using the footpath until wall repair works have been undertaken. The diversion route for pedestrians will be; South Street, West Street, High Street, Victoria Street, Wheelers Bay Road and St Catherine’s Street.
Castle Road (between Zig Zag Road and Gills Cliff Road) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from Tuesday 30 December 2014 until approx. 1 April 2016 until retaining wall works have been completed by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3055 Leeson Road (outside 36) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am on Monday 18 January until approx. 4.30pm on Thursday 21 January 2016 for the installation of a new gas service gas service by Southern Gas Networks. Some traffic delays will occur.
WHIPPINGHAM:
Public Footpath N214 will be closed from Crematorium Road to Public Footpath N114 between 9am on Wednesday 5 August 2015 and 9am on Friday 26 February 2016. The closure is required until urgent repair works have been undertaken to B171 Whippingham Cattle Creep. The alternative route for pedestrians is; Crematoriums Road, A3054 Lushington Hill, Racecourse and Fairlee Road.
WOOTTON:
A3054 Kite Hill (at Wootton Bridge). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation again from the evening on Sunday 3 January 2016 until approx. 7pm on Friday 19 February 2016 due to bridge strengthening works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur. Motorists travelling between Newport and Ryde are advised to use an alternative route, if possible during the works such as via Long Lane, The Downs Road and Ashey Road. Mill Square will also be closed during the above dates from the South-eastern junction with A3054 High Street to a point 18 metres to the North West of A3054 High Street. The alternative route for vehicles will be; Mill Square and A3054 High Street. The road closure is necessary whilst bridge works are undertaken. The Public Slipway will be closed at Mill Square near to the South-eastern junction with A3054 High Street during the same times.
Whiterails Road (at bridge by Butterfly World). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30am on Monday 11 January and Tuesday 12 January 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Some traffic delays may occur
Briddlesford Road (junction with Station Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until 9pm on the nights of Tuesday 12 January to Thursday 14 January 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
