Kings Road (outside Shorelands) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am on Wednesday 7 October until 4.30pm on Friday 9 October for the installation of a new gas service by SGN. Some traffic delays will occur.
BLACKGANG:
A3055 Blackgang Roundabout / Access road to Blackgang Temporary traffic lights will be in from Thursday 10 September 2015 until approx. Tuesday 29 September 2015 for the construction of manhole chamber and cable works by CCN Communications for British Telecom. Traffic delays will occur.
BRADING:
A3055 Rowborough Lane (junction with Carpenters Road) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation between 3pm on Tuesday 15 September until approx. Monday 28 September 2015 for urgent manhole cover repair works by CCN Communications. Traffic delays will occur.
Marshcombe Shute from 9.30am until 3.30pm on approximately one day between Friday 25 September and Friday 16 October 2015 from A3055 Morton Common to Yaverland Road. The alternative route for vehicles will be; Ashey Road and Upton Road. The closure is for the installation of safety surfacing works from a point 45 metres to the east of New Road to point 250 metres to the East of New Road.

COWES:
St Marys Road will be closed from 9am on Monday 21 September until 3.30pm on Friday 25 September 2015 between Gordon Road and Victoria Road. The closure is for retaining wall repair works by Island Roads. The alternative route for vehicles will be; Gordon Road, Mill Hill Road and Victoria Road. EAST COWES:
Victoria Grove (between York Avenue and Beatrice Avenue). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation at times from Monday 28 September until Friday 2 October 2015 for highway works prior to resurfacing by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Esplanade will be closed from 2.30pm on Friday 25 April 2014 for the foreseeable future between 375 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road and the end of the highway 860 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road. There is no alternative route for traffic. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road due to a landslip. LAKE:
Ranalagh Road / Cliff Road / Cliff Path. From 1200hrs on Friday 18 July 2014 for the foreseeable future the following roads / path will be closed to vehicular traffic: Cliff Road / Cliff Path will be closed from point 55 metres to the northwest of the junction with Ranalagh Road to point 185 metres to the south west of the junction with Cliff Gardens (the southern boundary of number 6). Ranalagh Road will also be closed from Cliff Road to a point 10 metres to the west of Cliff Road. During the period of closure there is no alternative route for vehicles. NEWBRIDGE:
Main Road (approx. 250 metres Newbridge Village side of Dodpits Lane).
Temporary traffic lights will be in operation when necessary from 9am on Monday 14 September until approx. Friday 18 December 2015 in the interests of safety during the construction of a new solar farm by Anesco Ltd. Some traffic delays may occur.
NEWPORT:
Pyle Street will be closed from St Thomas Square to Town Lane between 10am on Thursday 17 September 2015 for approximately 2 weeks, due to sewer repair works by DynoRod (P Fitzsimmonds) for Southern Water. Vehicular access to the Multi Storey Car Park and to business and premises will be maintained as far as possible. For traffic entering Pyle Street: Diversion Route: St James Square, High Street and St Thomas Square. For traffic leaving Pyle Street: Diversion Route: St James Square, High Street Coppins Bridge Roundabout, East Street and South Street.
A3020 Parkhurst Road (approx. 200 metres from St Marys Roundabout, outside St Marys Hospital). Temporary lane closures will be in operation from approx. 9am until 4pm on each day between until Sunday 11 October and Tuesday 13 October 2015 for tree cutting works by Groundsell Contracting. Carisbrooke Road will be closed from 6.30pm until 6am between Monday 28 September and Monday 5 October 2015 from Pyle Street to Cedar Hill. A3055 Brading Road (outside Bartlett’s Green Farm) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation between 9.30am until 4pm on Thursday 1 October and if necessary Friday 2 October 2015 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Carters Road will be closed from 9.30am until 3.30pm on Saturday 26 September or Sunday 26 September 2015 (weather permitting) from Ashey Road Upton Road. The closure is for the installation of safety surfacing works by Island Roads. The alternative route for vehicles will be; Ashey Road and Upton Road. The Strand will be closed between East Street and West Hill Road from 9am on Friday 21 November 2014 until Tuesday 25 August 2015 and from Monday 7 September until Friday 16 October 2015. The closure is for a Sewer Flood Alleviation Scheme to upsize the existing sewer pipeline. The diversion route will be; West Street, Dover Street and Esplanade. Works are due to start near to the junction with West Hill Road.
Simeon Street will be closed from 9am on Monday 9 March until 4pm on Friday 16 October 2015 between The Strand and Monkton Street. The diversion route will be: The Strand and Monkton Street. The closure is for a sewer flood alleviation scheme to upsize a sewer pipeline. Access to premises and businesses will be maintained from one end of the road as far as possible during the works.
Upton Road (outside 57a) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am on Monday 5 October until approx. 4.30pm on Friday 9 October 2015 for a new gas connection by SGN. Some traffic delays will occur.
Castle Street will be closed from 8am on Monday 21 September until 6pm on Sunday 18 October 2015 between Union Road and Union Street. The closure is required due to scaffolding for building works by Phillip Hart. The one way restriction in Castle Street between Union Road and Union Street will be temporarily suspended during the works. The alternative route for vehicles will be; Castle Street, George Street, Cross Street and Union Street.
Monkton Street (junction with Melville Street) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am on Friday 25 September until approx. Friday 16 October 2015 for the rebuilding of a retaining wall at 32 Melville Street by 360 Property Maintenance Ltd.
Spencer Road (junction with Buckland Gardens) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8.30am on Monday 14 September until approx. 4.30pm on Friday 27 November 2015 for gas main replacement works by SGN. Some traffic delays will occur.
St Johns Hill (Pedestrian Crossing near St Johns Wood Road) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation for a few hours the night of Wednesday 30 September 2015 (weather permitting) from 6.30pm until 6am for safety surfacing works by Island Roads. ST HELENS:
B3330 Eddington Road (outside Church Cottage). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday 28 September for urgent cable repair works by A/plant for British Telecom. Traffic delays will occur.
ST LAWRENCE:
A3055 Undercliff Drive will remain closed from St Catherine’s Road to Seven Sisters Road (Western Junction), between Barrington Lodge, near to the western junction with Seven Sisters Road and Mirables which is located about a mile towards Niton. Following significant ground movement in the area in early February 2014, Undercliff Drive has been physically closed between Mirables (in the west) and a point 560 metres to the West of Seven Sisters Road (in the east) for safety reasons. There is now no access for vehicles or pedestrians. A formal road and footpath closure will be in operation for the foreseeable future. Access to businesses and attractions in Undercliff Drive will be maintained.

Longdown Steps Public Footpath V102 will be closed from 10am on Monday 12 May 2014 for the foreseeable future between South Street and St Catherine’s Street.
