A3056 Hale Common (outside Holliers Farm) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Wednesday 2 March and Friday 4 March 2016 for ditch clearing works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
BILLINGHAM:
Kennels Lane (near to Ashbridge Lane) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Wednesday 2 March and Friday 4 March 2016 for carriageway repairs by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
BONCHURCH:
Balaambs Passage footpath will be closed from 8.30pm on Friday 8 January until 8.30pm on Friday 29 July 2016 between Bonchurch Village Road and The Pitts. The route for pedestrians will be: Bonchurch Village Road, Bonchurch Shute and The Pitts. The road closure is required until retaining wall repair works have been undertaken.
BRIGHSTONE:
Grange Road (near junction with Military Road) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until 11pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Wednesday 2 March and Friday 4 March 2016 for carriageway repairs by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
CARISBROOKE:
Castle Street (Outside 16). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am on Tuesday 1 March until 4.30pm on Monday 7 March 2016 for the installation of a new gas service by Southern Gas Networks. Traffic delays will occur.
CHALE:
Chale Lane / Pyle Shute will be closed on approximately 5 to 8 days between 6.30am and 6pm during the period from Friday 19 February 2016 until Friday 4 March 2016.

COWES:
Newport Road will be closed from approx. 9am on Wednesday 13 January 2016 until 4pm on Thursday 24 March 2016 between Three Gates Road and Nodes Road. The road closure is for the installation of a new 450mm size water main. The route for diverted traffic will be: Three Gates Road, Place Road and Nodes Road. The works form part of a new water main project between Three Gates Road, along Newport Road to the Newport side of Northwood traffic lights.
Church Road will be closed from 9am on Monday 29 February until 4pm on Wednesday 9 March 2016, between a point 85 metre to the north of Union Road and Castle Road. The one way restriction will be suspended to allow access. The road closure is for sewer relining works by P Fitzsimmons Dyno Rod.
Ward Avenue will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm for approximately 5 to 10 days and nights between Monday 29 February and Friday 1 April 2016. The closure is from Park Road to Baring Road for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. EAST COWES:
Esplanade will be closed from 2.30pm on Friday 25 April 2014 for the foreseeable future between 375 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road and the end of the highway 860 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road. There is no alternative route for traffic. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road due to a landslip.
A3021 Whippingham Road (opposite Heathfield Cottages). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until 11pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Thursday 10 March and Monday 14 March 2016 for drainage repairs by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3021 Whippingham Road (at Barton Manor Roundabout). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Wednesday 2 March and Friday 4 March 2016 for carriageway repairs by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
FRESHWATER:
Bedbury Lane will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm on approximately 5 to 10 days between Monday 29 February and Friday 1 April 2016. GODSHILL:
A3020 Newport Road (from Munsley Farm Lane to Worsley Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Monday 29 February and Wednesday 9 March 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Merryl Lane will be closed on one day between Wednesday 2 March and Friday 4 March 2016, from 9am until 4pm, between Whitwell Road and Sheepwash Lane. The road closure is for carriageway repair works.
Godshill Park Road, Godshill will be closed on one day between Monday 29 February and Wednesday 2 March 2016, from 9am until 4pm, between A3020 Shanklin Road and the end of the surfaced highway to the Southeast. Vehicular access to premises and businesses will be maintained as far as possible. The road closure is for carriageway repair works.
HAVENSTREET:
Havenstreet Main Road (outside Woodlands). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on Monday 29 February 2016 for the replacement of a sewer frame and cover by P Fitzsimmons Dyno Rod.
LAKE:
Ranalagh Road / Cliff Road / Cliff Path. From 1200hrs on Friday 18 July 2014 for the foreseeable future the following roads / path will be closed to vehicular traffic: Cliff Road / Cliff Path will be closed from point 55 metres to the northwest of the junction with Ranalagh Road to point 185 metres to the south west of the junction with Cliff Gardens (the southern boundary of number 6). Ranalagh Road will also be closed from Cliff Road to a point 10 metres to the west of Cliff Road. During the period of closure there is no alternative route for vehicles. The closure is required due to erosion. Pedestrian access will be maintained as usual.
A3055 Sandown Road (from Winchester House to Cemetery Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Monday 9 May and Friday 13 May 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
NETTLESTONE:
Nettlestone Hill / Nettlestone Green will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm on approximately 5 to 10 days between Monday 29 February and Friday 1 April 2016. The closure is from Caws Avenue to the Northern end of Nettlestone Green triangle for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. A3020 St Georges Way (near footbridge). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until until 11pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Wednesday 2 March and Friday 4 March 2016 for carriageway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
ROOKLEY:
Niton Road (various locations between Dolcroft Road to Harts Lane). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 6.30am until 6pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Monday 22 February until Friday 4 March 2016 for works to vehicle access by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3020 Main Road (various locations from Niton Road to Pritchett’s Way). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Monday 29 February and Wednesday 2 March 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3020 Main Road (outside Pagham Place) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Monday 22 February and Monday 29 February 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
RYDE:
Bullen Road will be closed for a period of 5 days during the period from 9am on Monday 29 February and 5pm on Thursday 24 March 2016 between Pondwell Close and Gregory Avenue. The road closure is for the construction of a new footway by Island Roads.
Selden Avenue will be closed on one day between 9am and 4pm during the period from Friday 26 February until Tuesday 1 March 2016. The closure is from the eastern junction with Marina Avenue to the western junction with Marina Avenue for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. The route for diverted traffic will be: Appley Road and Marina Avenue.
A3055 Appley Road will be closed from 6.30pm until 6am on approximately 5 to 10 nights between Monday 29 February and Friday 1 April 2016. Ashey Road (from Brading Down Road to East Ashey Lane). A Temporary 30 mph speed restriction will be in operation for about two to three weeks between 6.30am on Monday 1/2/16 and 11pm on Saturday 12/3/16 from Brading Down Road to East Ashey Lane from to enable safety barrier works to be undertaken by Island Roads. Temporary traffic lights will also be in operation at times.
Gatehouse Road will be closed from 9am on Monday 29 February until 4pm on Wednesday 2 March 2016, between Carters Road and Deacons Lane. The closure is for the installation of a new gas connection adjacent to Great Upton Farm by Southern Gas Networks.
Esplanade (near junc with St Thomas Street). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until 11pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Wednesday 2 March and Friday 4 March 2016 for carriageway repairs by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Park Road will be closed from 7.30pm on Thursday 25th February 2016 until approx. 4pm on Tuesday 1st March 2016. The closure is from Daniel Street to Monkton Street. The closure is required due to emergency gas main repair works by Southern Gas Networks. Diversion Route: Park Road, Bennett Street, St Johns Road and Monkton Street.

Ferncliff Path will be closed to pedestrians from 9am on Monday 22 February until 4pm on Friday 18 March 2016 The closure is between Esplanade and Ferncliff Road for safety works by Island Roads The alternative route for pedestrians will be: Esplanade, Pier Street, Beachfield Road and Ferncliff Road.
Albert Road / Victoria Road will be closed on one day between 9am and 4pm during the period from Friday 26 February 2016 until Tuesday 1 March 2016. The closure is between Station Avenue and Avenue Road and is for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. The one way restriction in Albert Road / Victoria Road will be temporarily suspended from High Street to Avenue Road to allow access. Avenue Road (outside 56). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on Monday 7 March 2016 for cable repair works by A/plant for British Telecom. Traffic delays are likely.
A one way restriction will be in operation in Station Avenue for a period of 5 days during the period from 9am on Monday 29 February until 4pm on Friday 18 March 2016 in a Westbound direction between A3055 Broadway and Hill Street. All Eastbound traffic will be diverted. The one way restriction is for the construction of a new footway and tactile crossing scheme by Island Roads.
SEAVIEW:
Seagrove Manor Road will be closed on one day between Friday 26 February and Tuesday 1 March 2016, from 9am until 4pm between Old Seaview Lane and the end of the highway to the South and East. Vehicular access to premises and businesses will be maintained as far as possible. The road closure is for carriageway repair works by Island Roads.
SHANKLIN:
Cliff Path will be closed from 9.30am on Monday 20 January 2014 for the foreseeable future to pedestrians from Skew Bridge Path to Winchester House Car Park. The closure is required due to erosion/ land movement. During the period of closure the alternative route for pedestrians will be; Skew Bridge Path, A3055 Sandown Road and Winchester House Car Park.
A3055 Sandown Road (from Alresford Road for approx. 300 metres towards Lake). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until 7am on each night (Mondays to Fridays- not Bank holiday Monday 2 May 2016) between Thursday 21 April and Monday 9 May 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
James Avenue (Chelsfield Road to James Avenue). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Thursday 10 March and Monday 21 March 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Green Lane (from Wheeler Way to Chelsfield Avenue). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Wednesday 6 April and Tuesday 19 April 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3055 Church Road (outside the Old Thatch Tea Rooms). Apse Manor Road will be closed on each day from 9am until 4pm between Monday 22 February and Friday 26 February 2016. The closure is between A3020 Godshill Road and Ventnor Road for drainage works at the culvert by Island Roads. The route for diverted traffic will be: A3020 Godshill, Canteen Road and Ventnor Road.
A3020 Victoria Avenue (from Furze Hill Road to Chatsworth Avenue). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 3.30pm on each day between Tuesday 23 February and Wednesday 2 March for footway surfacing works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Victoria Avenue (cul-de-sac section will be closed from 9am on Wednesday 2 March 2016 until 4pm on Friday 4 March 2016 between Hungerberry Close and the end of the surfaced highway 200 metres to the west. Vehicular access to premises will be restricted when necessary between 9am and on each day during the closure. The road closure is to reline 50 metres of sewer by P Fitzsimmons Dyno Rod.

ST LAWRENCE:
A3055 Undercliff Drive will remain closed from St Catherine’s Road to Seven Sisters Road (Western Junction), between Barrington Lodge, near to the western junction with Seven Sisters Road and Mirables which is located about a mile towards Niton. Following significant ground movement in the area in early February 2014, Undercliff Drive has been physically closed between Mirables (in the west) and a point 560 metres to the West of Seven Sisters Road (in the east) for safety reasons. There is now no access for vehicles or pedestrians. A formal road and footpath closure will be in operation for the foreseeable future. Access to businesses and attractions in Undercliff Drive will be maintained. During the period of closure the alternative route for traffic will be; Pedestrians; A3055 Undercliff Drive, Public Footpath V81, V77, NT28, NT29, NT30 and A3055 Undercliff Drive. Cyclists and Equestrians; A3055 Undercliff Drive, Seven Sisters Road, St Lawrence Shute, Whitwell Road, Ventnor Road, High Street (Whitwell), Kemming Road, Chatfield Road, Rectory Road, High Street (Niton), Institute Hill, Barrack Shute and A3055 Undercliff Drive.
St Lawrence Shute will be closed on 5 days between 7am and 11pm from Monday 15 February until Sunday 20 March 2016. The closure is from Seven Sister Road to Whitwell Road whilst safety barriers are installed on the approaches to the old railway bridge by Island Roads. The alternative route for traffic will be: Seven Sisters Road, A3055 Undercliff Drive and Steephill Road, Castle Road, Gills Cliff Road and Whitwell Road.
TOTLAND:
Church Hill will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm on approximately 5 to 10 days between Monday 29 February and Friday 1 April 2016. VENTNOR:
Longdown Steps Public Footpath V102 will be closed from 10am on Monday 12 May 2014 for the foreseeable future between South Street and St Catherine’s Street. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons using the footpath until wall repair works have been undertaken. The diversion route for pedestrians will be; South Street, West Street, High Street, Victoria Street, Wheelers Bay Road and St Catherine’s Street.
Castle Road (between Zig Zag Road and Gills Cliff Road) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from Tuesday 30 December 2014 until approx. August 2016 until retaining wall works have been completed by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3055 Trinity Road (near Trinity Church) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 4pm on each day (between Wednesday 24 February and Friday 26 February 2016 for carriage way repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Zig Zag Road will be closed on one day between 9am and 4pm during the period from Monday 22 February until Wednesday 24 February 2016. The closure is between Castle Road and St Albans Road for carriageway repair works between numbers 24 and the top of Zig Zag Steps by Island Roads. The alternative route for vehicles will be; Castle Road, Gills Cliff Road and Ocean View Road.
Pound Lane will be closed from 8am on Monday 29 February until 5pm on Friday 4 March 2016, between Albert Street to the goods entrance to the Co-op Store. The closure is for the installation of a new electric connection adjacent to the medical centre by Scottish and Southern Energy.
Trinity Road will be closed on one day between Friday 26 February and Tuesday 1 March 2016, from 9am until 4pm, between the section of Trinity Road leading to Bonchurch Village Road and Madeira Road. The road closure is for carriageway repair works by Island Roads.
Belgrave Road will be closed from 9am on Monday 29 February until 4pm on Friday 4 March 2016 between A3055 Alpine Road and Bath Road. The one way restriction will be suspended to allow access. The closure is for the installation of a new gas service connection near to the junction with Bath Road by Southern Gas Networks.
Whitwell Road will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm on approximately 5 days between Monday 7 March and Thursday 24 March 2016. The closure is from Gills Cliff Road to St Lawrence Shute for carriageway repairs, by Island Roads. A3054 Kite Hill (at Wootton Bridge). Please note: The temporary 18 Tonne weight restriction and temporary traffic lights were removed on Friday 19 February 2016.
The 20 mph speed limit will remain in operation until surfacing and barrier works have been completed by the end of April 2016.
A3054 High Street / Kite Hill will be closed on approx. 7 nights from 7.30pm until 6am on each night (Mondays to Fridays) between Monday 15 February and approx.
