Isle of Wight Scooter Rally: Music, camaraderie and Ride Out this August bank holiday

Thousands of scooter enthusiasts are gearing up to make their way to the Isle of Wight for what has been dubbed ‘the world’s biggest scooter rally’.

This annual event is expected to draw up to 10,000 scooterists to the Island over the course of the August bank holiday weekend.

Sandown Airport
The rally, which runs from Thursday, 22nd August to Monday, 26th August, will see scooterists setting up camp at Sandown Airport.

The site will serve as the hub of activity throughout the weekend, featuring an entertainment area complete with live music.

Famous Ride-Out on Sunday
One of the key highlights of the weekend is the famous ride-out, scheduled for Sunday, 25th August. This event will bring together thousands of riders in a spectacular procession across the Island.

Scooterists will begin their journey at 1pm from the former ice rink in Ryde. From there, the convoy will travel through Puckpool, Nettlestone, and St Helens before heading along Latimer Road to Bembridge.

Scenic route across the Island
The scenic route will continue as the riders make their way to Yaverland, passing through Sandown High Street and Shanklin. The journey will then take them through Apse Heath before culminating back at Sandown Airport.

This ride-out is one of the most anticipated events of the rally, offering scooterists a chance to showcase their scooters and enjoy the picturesque landscapes of the Isle of Wight.

A weekend of entertainment and camaraderie
Beyond the ride-out, the rally promises a weekend filled with entertainment, camaraderie, and the shared passion for scooters. The atmosphere at Sandown Airport is expected to be electric, with live music adding to the festive spirit.

Participants and visitors alike can look forward to a memorable weekend as the Isle of Wight once again plays host to this iconic event.
