before and after bedroom transformation

Isle of Wight woman sets out to transform the lives of child victims of sexual abuse

It was just over a year ago when Natalie Thomas first came across Room Redux.

“I was  scrolling through Facebook and came across a video about a US-based non-profit organisation that is transforming the rooms of children and young people who have faced sexual or physical abuse.”

Transformational healing
Thomas says she was drawn to the concept behind the Room Transformations because of how impactful and life changing they are in the healing process. She was able to connect to Room Redux’s mission personally, because of her own lived experiences.

Thomas explains,

“As a childhood trauma survivor, I want to ensure that I do what I can as a person to make sure no other child or young person has to endure and live through what I did as a young person.”

First chapter in the UK
Empowered by the mission, value and aims of Room Redux, Thomas set out on the extraordinary task of bringing the US-based organisation to the United Kingdom.

Room Redux United Kingdom will start with a chapter on the Isle of Wight, where Thomas will serve as Executive Director in addition to being the Regional Executive Director for the UK.  Over time, she hopes others will come on board to start chapters in their local areas.

A message of peace, love and transformation
Room Redux United Kingdom is still on the long road to completing government filing as an organisation, once completed Thomas will start directing room transformations beginning in the Isle of Wight area, but until then, she says,

“It is important now as we move forward that the message of peace, love and transformation gets around the United Kingdom.”
