Church Road will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm on approximately 10 days between Monday 11 April and Friday 27 May 2016. Balaambs Passage footpath will be closed from 8.30pm on Friday 8 January until 8.30pm on Friday 29 July 2016 between Bonchurch Village Road and The Pitts. The route for pedestrians will be: Bonchurch Village Road, Bonchurch Shute and The Pitts. The road closure is required until retaining wall repair works have been undertaken.
BRIGHSTONE:
Brook Road (75 metres Brighstone side of Brighstone Grange). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day between Tuesday 31 May and Thursday 2 June 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
CALBOURNE:
Elm Lane will be closed from 9am until 4pm on one day between Monday 23 May and Wednesday 25 May 2016 The closure is from Freshwater Road to Quarry Lane and is for carriageway remedial surfacing works by Eurovia Surfacing for Island Roads
CARISBROOKE:
Purdy Road (on bend at junction with Fieldfare Road) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day between Monday 23 May and Wednesday 25 May 2016 for carriageway cover works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Castle Street will be closed on one day from 9am until 4pm between Friday 20 May and Tuesday 24 May 2016. The closure is between High Street and the end of the highway and is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.
CHALE:
Chale Street (outside Fernlea to Outside Knowings). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on Monday 6 June 2016 for Telephone pole replacement works by British Telecom. Traffic delays are likely.
Southdown will be closed on one day from 9am until 4pm between Friday 27 May and Tuesday 31 May 2016. The closure is between A3055 Military Road and Atherfield Road and is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.
COWES:
Mill Hill Road (outside 25-29, near Granville Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day between Tuesday 31 May and Thursday 2 June 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Terminus Road will be closed from 8am on Monday 23 May until approx. 5pm on Monday 30 May 2016. The closure is between Carvel Lane and High Street and is for building repair works by Hi Tec Property Services. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation to control the flow of traffic during the closure.
EAST COWES:
Esplanade will be closed from 2.30pm on Friday 25 April 2014 for the foreseeable future between 375 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road and the end of the highway 860 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road. There is no alternative route for traffic. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road due to a landslip.
Beatrice Avenue will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm on approximately 5 to 10 days between Friday 22 April and Friday 3 June 2016. The closure is from Harvey Close and Victoria Grove for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. Castle Street (junction with Maresfield Road / Columbine Road / Old Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30am until 5pm on Thursday 19 May 2016 for maintenance works to sewer monitoring equipment by Barhale Trant Utilities (BTU) for Southern Water.
Grange Road will be closed on one day from 9am until 4pm between Monday 23 May and Wednesday 25 May 2016. The closure is between Upper Yarborough Road and the end of the highway to the north (adjacent to the entrance to Queensgate Primary School) and is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.
FRESHWATER:
A3055 School Green Road (outside 140). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on one day between Wednesday 18 and Friday 20 May 2016 for highway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Afton Road (outside Co-op Store) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from Monday 23 May 2016 until approx. Friday 27 May 2016 for the construction of a manhole chamber by British Telecom. Traffic delays are likely.
GODSHILL:
Sheepwash Lane will be closed on one day from 9am until 4pm between Monday 23 May and Wednesday 25 May 2016. The closure is between Whitwell Road and Merryl Lane and is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.
Bathingbourne Lane will be closed on one day from 9am until 4pm between Monday 23 May and Wednesday 25 May 2016. The closure is between Macketts Lane and Lessland Lane and is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.
Church Hill will be closed on one day from 9am until 4pm between Monday 23 May and Wednesday 25 May 2016. The closure is between School Road and Church Hollow and is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.
LAKE:
Ranalagh Road / Cliff Road / Cliff Path. From 1200hrs on Friday 18 July 2014 for the foreseeable future the following roads / path will be closed to vehicular traffic:
Cliff Road / Cliff Path will be closed from point 55 metres to the northwest of the junction with Ranalagh Road to point 185 metres to the south west of the junction with Cliff Gardens (the southern boundary of number 6). Ranalagh Road will also be closed from Cliff Road to a point 10 metres to the west of Cliff Road. During the period of closure there is no alternative route for vehicles. The closure is required due to erosion.Pedestrian access will be maintained as usual.
NEWCHURCH:
The Shute (outside 3 The Square) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am on Tuesday 31 May until 4pm on Friday 3 June 2016 for the installation of a gas service connection by Southern Gas Networks.
Watery Lane (from near to Hale Common to Thompsons Nursery) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am on Thursday 19 May until 4pm on Thursday 2 June 2016 for highway cable works by LCM Contractors Ltd.
NEWPORT:
Briddlesford Road (outside Lynnbotton Civic Amenity Site). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8pm until 11pm on each day between Tuesday 31 May and Thursday 2 June 2016 for carriageway cover works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Drill Hall Road (between car park and High Street). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on each day between Tuesday 31 May and Thursday 2 June 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
East Street / South Street will be closed from 7.30pm until 6am on approximately 5 to 10 nights between Friday 13 May and Friday 3 June 2016. The closure is from Coppins Bridge to Church Litten for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. Marvel Lane will be closed on one day from 9am until 4pm between Friday 20 May and Tuesday 24 May 2016. The closure is from Sandy Lane to Watergate Road and is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.
Little London will be closed on one day between Friday 20 May and Tuesday 24 May 2016, from Hurstake Road to a point 680 feet to the North of Sea Street. The one way restriction in Little London will be temporarily suspended from its junction with Sea Street to a point 680 feet to the North to allow access. The road closure is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.

Rolls Hill Road (near bridge). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on each day between Wednesday 18 and Friday 20 May 2016 for safety barrier repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
ROOKLEY:
Main Road (from Rookley Industrial Estate to Rookley Country Park) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 3.30pm on each day between Wednesday 22 June and Tuesday 28 June 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
RYDE:
Binstead Hill (outside Pitts View) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until 11pm on the evenings of Wednesday 18 May, Thursday 19 May and Friday 20 May 2016 for highway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Union Road will be closed from 8am on Tuesday 17 May until 4.30pm on Friday 20 May 2016, between Cross Street and Castle Street. The one way restriction in Castle Street from Union Road to George Street will be temporarily suspended to allow access during the closure. The road closure is for the installation of a new gas service connection outside 47Aby Southern Gas Networks.
Stroudwood Road will be closed from 6.30pm until 6am on approximately 5 to 10 nights between Friday 20 May and Friday 1 July 2016. The closure is from Newnham Road to Upton Road for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. Lind Street (no right turn into High Street) From 1pm on Friday 20th May 2016 until approx. 4pm on Monday 23rd May 2016 vehicles will not be permitted to turn from Lind Street into High Street, Ryde. The diversion route for traffic will be: Union Street, Esplanade, George Street and Cross Street. The restriction is required due to emergency gas main repair works.
SHALFLEET:
Underwood Lane will be closed on one day from 9am until 4pm between Friday 27 May 2016 and Tuesday 31 May. The closure is from White Oak Lane to Yarmouth Road and is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.
SHANKLIN:
Brook Road will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm on approximately 5 to 10 days between Friday 27 May and Friday 8 July 2016. The closure is from Hatherton Road to Hyde Road and is for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. Cliff Path will be closed from 9.30am on Monday 20 January 2014 for the foreseeable future to pedestrians from Skew Bridge Path to Winchester House Car Park. The closure is required due to erosion/ land movement. During the period of closure the alternative route for pedestrians will be; Skew Bridge Path, A3055 Sandown Road and Winchester House Car Park.
Green Lane (opp 78) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am on Monday 6 June until 4.30pm on Tuesday 14 June 2016 for the installation of a gas service connection by Southern Gas Networks.
Orchardleigh Road will be closed from 8am on Wednesday 18 May until 4.30pm on Friday 20 May 2016 between High Street and St Johns Road. The road closure is for the installation of a new gas service connection outside 17A by Southern Gas Networks.
Landguard Manor Road (from Green Lane to Witbank Gardens). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 6.30pm on Friday 10 June until 6pm on Monday 20 June 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Green Lane (from Whitbank Gardens to Perowne Way) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am on Thursday 9 June until 7pm on Tuesday 14 June 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.

Mill Lane will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm on approximately 5 to 10 days between Friday 20 May and Friday 1 July 2016. ST LAWRENCE:
A3055 Undercliff Drive will remain closed from St Catherine’s Road to Seven Sisters Road (Western Junction), between Barrington Lodge, near to the western junction with Seven Sisters Road and Mirables which is located about a mile towards Niton. Following significant ground movement in the area in early February 2014, Undercliff Drive has been physically closed between Mirables (in the west) and a point 560 metres to the West of Seven Sisters Road (in the east) for safety reasons. There is now no access for vehicles or pedestrians. A formal road and footpath closure will be in operation for the foreseeable future. Access to businesses and attractions in Undercliff Drive will be maintained. During the period of closure the alternative route for traffic will be; Pedestrians; A3055 Undercliff Drive, Public Footpath V81, V77, NT28, NT29, NT30 and A3055 Undercliff Drive. Cyclists and Equestrians; A3055 Undercliff Drive, Seven Sisters Road, St Lawrence Shute, Whitwell Road, Ventnor Road, High Street (Whitwell), Kemming Road, Chatfield Road, Rectory Road, High Street (Niton), Institute Hill, Barrack Shute and A3055 Undercliff Drive.
VENTNOR:
Longdown Steps Public Footpath V102 will be closed from 10am on Monday 12 May 2014 for the foreseeable future between South Street and St Catherine’s Street. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons using the footpath until wall repair works have been undertaken. The diversion route for pedestrians will be; South Street, West Street, High Street, Victoria Street, Wheelers Bay Road and St Catherine’s Street.
Castle Road (between Zig Zag Road and Gills Cliff Road) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from Tuesday 30 December 2014 until approx. August 2016 until retaining wall works have been completed by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Leeson Road will be closed from 7.30pm until 6am on approximately 5 to 10 nights between Friday 13 May and Friday 3 June 2016. The closure is from St Boniface Road to Bonchurch Shute for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. Lowtherville Road will be closed for approx. 5 days between Monday 16 May and Friday 27 May 2016, from 9am until 4pm on each day The closure is from Newport Road for its entire length. Vehicular access to premises and businesses will be maintained as far as possible. The road closure is for carriageway remedial repairs and resurfacing works by Island Roads.
Undercliff Gardens will be closed on one day from 9am until 4pm between Friday 27 May and Tuesday 31 May 2016. The closure is between Steephill Road and the end of the highway and is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.
Whitwell Road (junction with Gills Cliff Road) Temporary traffic control will be in operation from 9am on Monday 16 May until approx. Friday 27 May 2016 for over pumping for sewer repair works by P Fitsimmons Dynorod for Southern Water.
WHIPPINGHAM:
Public Footpath N214 will be closed from Crematorium Road to Public Footpath N114 from 9am on Wednesday 5 August 2015 for the foreseeable future. The closure is required until urgent repair works have been undertaken to B171 Whippingham Cattle Creep. The alternative route for pedestrians is; Crematoriums Road, A3054 Lushington Hill, Racecourse and Fairlee Road.
Public Footpath N221 will be closed from Island Harbour to the Folly from Tuesday 26 April 2016 for the foreseeable future until repair works have been undertaken. The closure is required as the footpath is unsafe due to a landslip. The alternative route for pedestrians is; Mill Lane, Fairlee Road, East Cowes Road, Whippingham Road and Folly Lane.
