The eighth West Wight Chilly Hilly ten-mile multi-terrain race took place on Sunday 4th December.

Following its popularity at the Isle of Wight Festival of Running back in June, live tracking of the event was viewed in the warmth of the Sports Centre by supporters and family members, while the runners braved low temperatures, easterly winds, and muddy conditions along the course.

First over the line was Joe Driscoll from Winchester AC, in an impressive time of 1:03:45, crossing the line just four seconds ahead of second place man, local Gary Marshall from Ryde Harriers.

“As our largest winter fundraising event, we are grateful to all the local businesses who have supported us, including Tapnell Farm, Co-operative Food, David Williams and Love Running.
