At the 2009 election, the number four was perhaps the unluckiest number for Independent Ivor Warlow. He lost to Ivan Bulwer, a Conservative, by just four votes.
Today sees Ivor Warlow win by that same number of votes.
After a day at the polls, which saw 41.9% of Binstead and Fishbourne residents come out to vote, Ivor Warlow was elected county councillor for the Binstead and Fishbourne ward after achieving the most votes.
The result was announced by Returning Officer Steve Beynon at 11:14pm.

Ian Cobb, Conservative Party, 424
Tim Wakeley, Liberal Democrat, 139
Daryll Pitcher, UKIP 93
Mick Lyons, Labour Party, 66
There were 1152 papers, of which two were rejected.
