This weekend sees the return of Jazz on the Meadow to the Ventnor Botanic Garden.
Last year’s one day event has been expanded to take place over two days with a varied programme over both days.
Saturday’s ‘Prestige Jazz Day’ features headline sets from the incredible James Taylor Quartet and vocal virtuoso Claire Martin.
The multi award winning Tensheds will also perform on Saturday, bringing his unique brand of boogie and balladry to Ventnor Botanic Garden’s beautiful meadow.
Rick Harris Syndicate returns for another year performing their sublime gumbo of reggae and blues, tinged with an underlying latin groove.
Sunday mash-up
Headlining on Sunday night will be DJ Yoda. His seminal How To Cut & Paste series has showcased a tongue-in-cheek mixing style that prompted Q Magazine to declare him “one of the ten DJs to see before you die”, whilst Hip Hop Connection voted him “one of the top three DJs in the world”.
Isle of Wight based act The Ohmz will be performing their brand of upbeat reggae grooves on the ‘Twist on Jazz’ Sunday, joined by other Island musicians and collectives, Paper Romance, Keri Highland, Born ina Barn and The Shutes.
