If you’re an Island business that finds it’s energy bills going through the roof, this new scheme being facilitated by the Chamber of Commerce might be of interest to you.
The Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce, Tourism and Industry are launching a new bulk purchasing scheme which they say, should help chamber members cut around 3-% off their electricity bills.
They have teamed up with energy supplier ENER-G to create the ‘Chamber Electricity Basket’.
Kevin Smith, the Chamber’s chief executive, said: “Businesses on the Island are losing out on lower energy prices because they don’t have the purchasing power to negotiate lower energy rates, and we felt we had to do something about it. Now our members will be able to make savings of up to 30 per cent, take advantage of drops in the market, and a ceiling price if the market moves up.”
