The countdown is on to Go Yellow 2024, for Mountbatten Isle of Wight and we need you to take part, on 11th October.
Whatever you wear, eat or do, make it YELLOW and help us raise vital funds for our 24/7 hospice and community services, delivered in patients’ homes and across the Island.
From baking and selling lemon cakes to a tallest sunflower competition, and from dressing up as a banana to sitting in a bath of custard, we want to hear about the brilliant things you will be getting up to on (or around) the big day.
Whether pounds or pennies, anything you raise during Go Yellow 2024 will help our Mountbatten nurses and carers be there for Islanders.

Join a free tour of our hospice building
As part of the Isle of Wight Walking Festival’s Autumn event, Mountbatten Isle of Wight will be hosting free tours of our building, twice a day between 7th and 11th October, at 9.30am and 3pm.
Lasting about half an hour, they will feature our award-winning garden as well as inside our building.
Plus, help us mark the 35th anniversary of Walk the Wight, which happens in 2025, by putting in some miles on a treadmill in our reception area! How many times can we cover the distance over the course of the week?

Going Yellow is even more important than ever
Mountbatten CEO, Nigel Hartley, said,
“A growing number of people need Mountbatten’s expert and kind care and support.
“Meanwhile, financial pressure on the NHS, which provides a third of our funding, means we are getting around £350k less this year for our Isle of Wight hospice.
“Funds raised by Go Yellow 2024 play a vital part in filling this funding gap and we cannot say thank you enough.
“We plan to launch a consultation later this year, about what Mountbatten services matter most to you and what life could be like without our vital 24/7 support for patients and their loved ones, at home, in our hospice and across the Isle of Wight.”
