As part of this coming weekend’s Open Studio events, Island artist Karen Grainger will be opening her doors and inviting the public to pay her a visit.
Karen will have her vintage camera set up offering a special Open Studios opportunity for callers to have their portrait done when they call in – at a fraction of the usual price.
Mini-exhibition of vintage photography
There will also be a fantastic, rarely seen mini-exhibition of 1950s and 60s stereo 3D photographs of British home life, plus a range of collectible contemporary landscape and still life work available to buy to suit every pocket.
Not forgetting – a sneak peek of the work she’s producing reviving the Julia Margaret Cameron’s Wet Plate Collodion process at Dimbola Museum & Gallery ahead of a show in there next year.
