Keert, the Isle of Wight’s only ultra low emissions delivery service, is delighted to announce the accelerated expansion of its sustainable delivery network into Freshwater.
This rapid growth has been made possible by the generous support of Teemill and a pivotal £2,500 funding boost from Wightlink‘s Green Innovation Fund.
New West Wight hub
The new West Wight hub, located in Freshwater, marks a significant milestone for Keert, enabling the company to extend its sustainable delivery services more quickly than originally planned.
This expansion is further supported by Teemill, who have kindly provided essential space for the new hub, allowing Keert to establish a strong presence in West Wight.
Crucial £2,500 funding
The crucial £2,500 funding from Wightlink’s Green Innovation Fund underscores Wightlink’s commitment to fostering environmentally conscious businesses and advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
This financial support has been instrumental in enabling Keert to purchase a new e-cargo bike, significantly enhancing their delivery capabilities in West Wight for both businesses and community groups.
Whittaker: We can now provide even more efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective delivery services
Matthew Whittaker, Director at Keert, said,
“We are incredibly grateful for the support from Teemill and the funding from Wightlink, which has allowed us to expand our operations sooner than anticipated.
“The addition of our Freshwater hub and new e-cargo bike means we can now provide even more efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective delivery services to the local community.”
Accelerated expansion
With this accelerated expansion, Keert now operates four strategically located hubs across the Isle of Wight: Ryde, Ventnor, Newport, and Freshwater, in addition to their main depot in Cowes. There are also plans to expand further into the Bay area in the near future.
This growth highlights Keert’s commitment to offering reliable and innovative delivery solutions that benefit both local businesses and the environment.
