Hospice Ladies Night

Ladies Night a successful fundraiser for the Hospice

Thanks to Erika for this latest news from the Hospice, Ed

Earl Mountbatten Hospice’s John Cheverton Centre (EMH JCC) was the venue for a Ladies’ Night on the evening of Friday 7th March.

Ladies arrived to be greeted with a glass of champagne and took the opportunity to have a ‘treatment’ with the JCC pampering team. There was everything from a massage to nail treatments, all of which are services on offer to Hospice patients.

A total of 27 ladies took up the offer of pampering for a small fee of £5, which went towards hospice services.

Range of products on offer
The ladies also met local Island businesses and were able to buy products such as handbags from Carol and Emma of Wanna Bag, glass jewellery from Lizzie Rose of A Touch of Glass, luxury lingerie from Magnet Therapy Works and organic products from Emma Webster of Neal’s Yard Remedies.

Entertainment for the evening ranged from a showcase by Sarah Matthews Flowers, a burlesque performance by Isabelle L’amour, and a demonstration and samplings by Paula Appleby from Pampered Chef.

Dani Johnson, Events Fundraiser at EMH said:

“We were delighted to have so much support from local businesses and that so many ladies took up the offer of a treatment with our pamperers, some of whom are volunteers in the John Cheverton Centre.”

Another Ladies’ Night is being planned for the summer when it is hoped that the weather will allow the space outside the JCC café to be used and enjoyed. If anyone is interested in attending or exhibiting at the next event please call 01983 528989 or email [email protected].
